1986年，境内铁路桥梁409座，涵洞701座，隧道7座。其中，特大型桥梁21座、中型桥梁264座、小型桥梁124座。1992年，部分桥涵及7座隧道划归莱芜市，境内铁路桥梁减至369座、涵洞378座。1997年起，铁路四次大提速，境内铁路平面道口改为立交桥涵。至2002年，境内国家运营铁路桥梁330座、涵洞381座，其中大型桥梁18座、中小型桥梁312座。地方企业专用铁路桥涵168座、桥梁20座，其中大桥2座、中桥1座、小桥17座，涵渠148座。
