    建国前，境内银行、银号及信用合作社都开办储蓄业务。建国后，储蓄事业经
历了从折实储蓄到货币储蓄的发展过程。1950年起，先后举办的储蓄种类有：折实
储蓄、保本保值定期储蓄、定活两便储蓄、定额储蓄、活期储蓄、定期储蓄(其中
又分整存整取定期储蓄和零存整取定期储蓄两种)、优待售粮储蓄、零存整取有奖
储蓄、贴花计息零存整取小额储蓄、实物存款、定期定额有奖储蓄、定期定额有奖
有息储蓄、华侨人民币定期储蓄及购买耐用消费品储蓄和购房建房专项储蓄。
