    区内水域类型齐全，可分为湖泊、水库、塘坝、河道、泉水、矿区塌陷地等。
水面广阔，水质肥沃。
    1984年，全区可供养鱼水面有41.69万亩，已利用13.30万亩，占可养面积的31.
9％。其他湖滨涝洼、废旧河道及煤矿塌陷地也在开发利用。
