    唐开元十五年（７２７年），茅山宗道士司马承桢向唐玄宗建
议：“今五岳神祠，皆是山林之神，非正真神也。五岳各有洞府，各有上清真
人降任其职……，请别斋祠之所。”玄宗“因敕五岳各置真君祠”。东岳祀延
禧真人。旧时岱庙中有延禧殿，宋天贶殿壁画中，延禧真人与泰山三郎是泰山
神左右陪行重臣。
