    在碧霞祠西墙外，原为池，清代砌为井。宋真宗东封泰山时，在
玉女池内发现玉女石像，易以玉像，建龛奉祭，封为“天仙玉女碧霞元君”。
从此香火大盛。
    池侧有巨石高耸黝黑若鼎，明人查志隆题“天柱”，秦李斯篆书《泰山刻
石》曾嵌石内，俗称斯碑崖。
    斯碑崖南原有明代建西公署，额称“仰止亭”，旧时达官贵人登山多止宿
于此，清代废。
