    后唐长兴四年（９３３年），唐明宗封泰山三郎（传为泰山神之子）为威雄大将军
。至宋真宗时，加封炳灵公。

    后晋天福二年（９３７年）八月，晋高祖命祭告五岳，令州府官员对各岳庙“量
事修崇”，所有近庙山林，禁止樵牧。

    后周广顺二年（９５２年）五月，周太祖亲征慕容彦超至兖州，遣翰林学士窦仪
祭东岳庙。
