济宁火车站2009年有职工300人，位于新兖铁路线上，为国家一级铁路干线，
担负着济宁地区的客、货运输任务，为济宁市的经济发展做出了应有贡献。
2009年济宁火车站共发送旅客120万人，到达200万人；货物发送70万吨，到
达150万吨。年运输收入1.62亿元。
济宁火车站从2009年6月份开始电气化施工，2010年6月30日正式开通，为下
一步增加运量，开行动车组列车创造了条件，进一步提升了济宁火车站的服
务功能，为济宁市下一步的经济发展，发挥更大的作用。
