    70年代中后期，一些乡村发挥距城镇或公路、铁路、水路的近地理优势，在城镇、
车站、码头搬运队、装卸队基础上，兴办了一批货运客运企业。1979年，全区共有运
输企业1121处， 职工18171人，有运输车辆4044辆，船舶600艘，年搬运货物7万吨。
此后， 随着个体、 联合体经济的出现，个体运输户迅速兴起，到1990年，全市乡镇
(村)运输企业发展到29535处(含村办个体)，拥有汽车、拖拉机19000多辆(台)，从业
人员79162人，年产值56124万元。
