    中国国际贸易促进委员会，简称中国贸促会，英文名称：ChinaCouncil for
the Promotion of International Trade，缩写为CCPIT，成立于1952年5月。经
中国政府批准， 中国贸促会于1988年6月组建中国国际商会， 英文名称：China
Chamber of International Commerce，缩写为CCOIC。1986年，中国贸促会以国
家委员会名义申请加入国际商会， 经过8年多的努力和谈判，于1994年11月，国
际商会第168次理事会正式通过决议， 同意中国加入国际商会并组建国际商会中
国国家委员会。1979年，中国贸促会在省、自治区、直辖市及其他城市设分会和
支会。1988年6月，各地方分会、支会相继组建“中国国际商会”。
