    建市后，农业植保部门进行了系统的农作物虫害普查工作。据查，境内
共有虫害119种，发生较重的虫害7种。分别为：棉铃虫、东亚飞蝗、稻飞虱、
黏虫、蚜虫、美洲斑潜蝇等。建国以前，蝗虫多有发生，为害严重。建国以
后，经多年连续防治，蝗虫对农田作物的危害大幅度减轻。
