    枣庄市的用材林建设是与封山造林同步发展起来的。到1985年末，全市有水土保持性质的山区片
林和平原农区的用材林、丰产林基地15.03万亩，每亩平均木材蓄积量1.99立方米，其中山区刺槐林面
积和蓄积量均占82％以上，侧柏和杨树面积各占7％，另外还有极少量的松林和桐林。
    1978年以后有计划地进行用材林基地建设。1985年，用材林基地合格面积为1.23万亩。
    枣庄市营造矿柱林始于1953年，至1984年，共完成造林0.92万亩，保存0.76万亩。
