    1979年，滕县玻璃厂新建年产为5万标箱的平板玻璃车间，同年12月投产，当月生产平板玻璃600
标箱，规格厚度为2.5—3毫米，幅度为800×1000毫米。1980年产平板玻璃30859.6标箱。1981年6月24日因
设备技术条件差、质量不过关而停产。
    1982年7月，滕县新建年产90万标箱的滕县平板玻璃厂。1984年12月，该厂试产厚度3毫米和5毫米
的平板玻璃，至1985年10月，共试产平板玻璃56万标箱，超额完成了国家指令性计划，产品畅销苏、
鲁、豫、皖等省及上海市。
    1985年11月22日，滕县平板玻璃厂正式剪彩投产，当年有职工1400人，共生产平板玻璃70.1192万标
箱。
