1月15日博山地方煤矿归日本控制的东和公司统制。

1月30日淄川县地方煤矿业统归鲁大公司统制。

是年底八路军山东纵队在沂源县鲁山千人洞创建山东纵队兵工一厂， 1939年3月迁至燕崖大贤山织女洞。主要生产刺刀、手榴
弹、枪榴弹和轻机枪等。
1940年4月破土动工的神头电厂旧址1939年
2月中日合办(博山)利大煤矿公司成立，日产煤900吨。

是年日本人在博山夏庄办起了山东电化厂，生产电石。

4月在博山神头电厂旧址动工建神头发电厂，1941年建成。
