是年临淄民间手工艺人胡英才编织的发网，邢进臣、泰增吉织的爱国布，在国民政府农商部举办的国货展览会上，分别获一等
奖和二等奖。

是年日本人渡部逸次郎在博山白虎山创办日华窑业公司，生产建筑陶管、耐火砖、化工陶瓷、电瓷。
1917年，周村四大机器制丝厂之一——恒星德丝厂锅炉房（现为兰雁集团股份有限公司）
是年淄博农村的桑园发展到数万亩，以博山、周村、淄川为最盛。1916～1919年间，全业年缫丝量平均达7.5万公斤。
