    迁居青岛始于建国后, 初时人口很少,至1964年只有4人。1982年全市城乡也不足
20人。主要由部队转业和工作调动迁居青岛,多居于市区。80年代,云南等地的苗族青
年妇女大量迁入莱西、崂山等县(市)、区务农。到1990年,青岛市城乡有苗族居民238
人。其中,莱西县达100人。
