    麦饭石是一种珍贵的保健药石。国内80年代初在内蒙古首次发现了此矿 (中华麦
饭石),青岛市也于1987年8月经青岛海洋大学发现,并定名为青岛麦饭石。其产地目前
有三处:崂山区红岛乡后韩家一带、崂山区石老人至南宅头村一带和即墨市东南一带。
