棋子湾沿岸， 到1989年共有国营和县（市） 、区、乡（镇）集体盐场11个，有盐田
1076563公亩， 另外， 还有青岛建新盐化厂自有盐田3043公亩， 全市合计共有盐田
1078604公亩（未含部队盐场）。
