    1938年1月10日，日本第二次侵占青岛。1939年6月，为实施所谓“青岛大都市”
计划，将即墨县、胶县划为青岛市辖区，称为“大青岛市”。
  1940年10月1日，日伪青岛特别市公署对市势详细调查，市全周长633公里，海岸
线431公里，东西径长130公里，南北径长90公里，全市陆地面积6 052.39平方公里。

