    中国海洋污染调查研究始于1961年--吴宝铃在青岛胶州湾进行有机污染指示种
多毛类小头虫的系统研究。此项研究工作延续30多年，成果获国家海洋局科技进步
一等奖。
    中国近海海域较大规模的污染调查始于1972年。渤海、黄海近海是中国海洋污
染调查最早的海区。山东沿海的海洋污染调查研究分两个阶段三方面内容：1976年
以前有综合调查和石油污染的专题调查；之后进行了污染防治的调查研究。
