    头胸甲长约35毫米，宽约30毫米，体形近似虾。头胸甲前窄后宽，背腹扁，额
角短小，腹部分节不清，柔软而卷曲，适于居住螺壳中。螯足右大左小，长节背部。
尾肢左大右小，适于钩住螺壳。生活时头胸甲前部及螯足为紫褐色，中部茶褐色，
具红色斑纹。分布于北太平洋东西两岸寒温带海区，黄海为其分布的南界。在北黄
海数量大，分布区水深一般为30～50米。在山东半岛东端到渤海海峡间深水区，拖
底网可捕到。可食用，也可作钓饵。
