    山东省的鼓虾共有4种：鲜明鼓虾、日本鼓虾、短脊鼓虾、刺螯鼓虾。 鼓虾一
般体长3～6厘米，体圆粗，头胸甲光滑无刺。第一对步足特别强大。鲜明鼓虾和日
本鼓虾生活于低潮线以下的泥沙底浅海中，一般在定置网中捕获，与其他虾类相混
杂，产量较大的为日本鼓虾。短脊鼓虾及刺螯鼓虾多生活于潮间带的沙泥或碎泥下，
数量少。
