　　谱牒，通称宗谱、家谱、谱书、祖谱、谱“影子”，古称家牒、家乘。家谱的
形式，有订为书册的，亦有图表一张的(民间艺人绘制族谱称之为“大画”)。有些
大家大族的祖谱，除记载世系各代人名之外，还记载重要家族成员的事迹。
　　在立家谱的过程中，常见认古代名人为始祖的习俗，如龙口市淳于一族，明清
时立谱，上溯至隋末的淳于难、淳于朗还是有根据的，再往前至汉代名医淳于意、
秦代的淳于越、春秋时期的淳于髡，证据虽然不多，依然认作远祖。
