　　伊斯兰教聚众礼拜的场所，统称清真寺。清真寺是阿拉伯文Masjid的意译，原
意为“叩拜之处”。元、明时期山东清真寺有礼拜寺、真教寺等名称。清朝以来各
地通用“清真寺”名称，并因其所在村、街地处方位或所属寺坊的不同而各有区别。
山东省清真寺多数初建时规模较小，后经多次修缮、增建而逐步扩大。1980-1990
年人民政府资助各地重修、新建了一批清真寺。
