　　山东省少数民族的社会生活，涉及政治生活、经济生活和文化生活各方面。近
代以来，广大少数民族群众在反帝爱国斗争，特别是抗日战争和解放战争中，团结
奋斗，贡献卓著。但在旧中国，广大少数民族群众遭受民族歧视和民族压迫，社会
政治地位低下，经济文化水平滞后，生活贫困。中华人民共和国成立后，中国共产
党和人民政府充分保障少数民族平等权利，少数民族社会政治地位空前提高，经济
文化事业获得了繁荣发展。
