　　河北省历史上人口死亡率都偏高，特别是在战争和灾荒，社会动荡时期，出现
过多次大批人口死亡的事例，但没有详细系统的记述。全省在50年代到60年代初，
死亡率均在10‰以上。随着经济的发展，人民生活水平逐步提高，卫生保健事业的
发展等，死亡率呈现逐步下降的趋势。进入70年代以后，一直稳定在6‰左右的较
低水平上。
