　　人口密度平均每平方公里在400～599人之间，在全省人口平均密度上下，大致
代表了山东人口密度的平均水平。该类型地区面积、人口占全省的比重各为42％和
45％。主要有以下2类地区：
　　(一)西部平原地区。典型地区有菏泽地区、聊城地区大部。
　　(二)河流两岸地区。如黄河沿岸，沂河、沭河两侧，潍河流域、五龙河流域、
小沽河、五沽河流域，以及大汶河和泗河流域部分地区。
