    １９４０年８月６日山东省文化界救亡协会在鲁中正式
成立，下设组织部、宣传部、战时教育部。宗旨是：“团结全山东一切文化宣
传教育工作者，推动抗战与新民主主义的文化运动。”该协会负有编辑出版通
俗读物的任务。１９４３年为了加强编辑出版工作，成立了文协编辑部，下设
教材、通俗读物、会刊三科。编辑部除配合中心任务大量编写出版通俗读物及
各种教材外，还改编出版了一些旧体文艺小说，给解放区人民提供了很好的精
神食粮。
