    创刊于１８９７年１１月２１日，即德皇威廉二世借口两名
德国传教士在曹州巨野被杀，派兵侵占青岛一周之后，由德国人创办的德文报
纸。据１８９８年（清光绪二十四年）梁启超主编的《清议报》第二册记载：
“德人既据胶州，去年１１月２１日，在该地倡设一报馆，题名曰《德国亚细
亚报》。而该报之报面印出‘Ｗ·Ｊ·Ｒ’三字，盖系显德鹫画爪痕地，即永
归德领之意。今据该报，于１１月１４日，即占领该地纪念日。”这是青岛市
历史上的第一家报纸，记录了帝国主义侵略中国的历史。
