　　位于临朐县城南关街。1981年8月15日建立，1985年4月开馆，原称“古生物化
石陈列馆”，后改称博物馆。山旺位于临朐县城东北约20公里处，因蕴藏丰富的古
生物化石而有“化石宝库”、“万卷书”之称。已发现古生物化石十几个门类400
余种。馆藏标本1万余件。陈列品中，植物化石有苔藓、蕨类、裸子和被子植物等，
动物化石有昆虫、鱼、两栖、爬行、鸟和哺乳动物等。
