    新中国建立前，省内没有专门的气象管理机构。１９５０年初，华东军区
设立气象处，省内气象台站由华东军区气象处管理。１９５２年１２月，山东
军区司令部设立气象科，是省内的第一个气象管理机构，后改属省人民政府领
导，管理全省气象台站。１９５８年以后，各专区、市设立气象台（１９７３
年后扩编为气象局），成为市地级气象业务管理机构，１９８０年以后，对辖
区内气象台站实施包括人、财、物在内的全面管理。
