　　１９５５年以后，省气象局开始建立气候站，并接管专区、县农林场和盐
场的气候站，到１９５８年，省内气象部门建制的气候站为８８个，１９６５
年达９３个。１９６６年，气候站改称为气象站，为了区别于基本气象站，把
只担负定时气候观测的气象站称为一般气象站。到１９８５年，省内有一般气
象站９８个。
　　气象站一般设在县（市、区）政府驻地，除进行气象观测外，还在上级气
象台提供的大范围天气预报指导下，制作该县（市）范围内的天气预报，为当
地党政领导和生产部门提供各种气象服务。
