　　1933年6月，俄国人奥尔德佩拉女士在烟台创办跳舞学校，传授西方伦巴、华
尔兹、探戈等各种舞蹈。招生广告称该校“面向本埠好舞少年及感于跳舞之胜趣者”
，也培养“业此生涯之舞女”。校址在海岸路2号顺泰饭店。1937年夏，奥尔德佩
拉跳舞学校在烟台招收过第2期学生，不久因抗日战争爆发而告辍。这是全省舞蹈
专门学校之始。
