    夏商周包括夏代、商代、西周、春秋和战国时期，是国家建立和发展的时期，也
是奴隶社会、封建社会产生、发展和成熟的时期。由于历史文献对此记载较少，考古
学研究就显得极为重要，具有证史、补史作用。近代考古学兴起以来，山东地区在该
时期的考古发掘与研究方面取得了丰硕成果。
