    山东省各市地利用各种渠道和各自优势，广泛联络国内外客商，促进当地的对外经贸往来。其中，结合各地特点，举办各种具有浓郁地方特色的活动是一种主要形式。这当中，在国际上有一定影响的有曲阜国际孔子文化节、潍坊国际风筝会、淄博陶瓷琉璃艺术节。这些活动是以节日活动“搭台”，以经贸活动“唱戏”，既继承和发扬了本地区传统的历史文化遗产，又促进了本地区的对外文化交流和经贸往来。
