    小型飘浮植物。 茎纤细，无真正的根，叶3片轮生，3列，2列漂浮水面，另一列
叶在水面下，细裂成须根状悬垂水中，基部簇生孢子果，有大小孢子果之分。全世界
共有1属、约10种，分布于各大洲，以美洲和非洲热带地区为主。中国只有1种。山东
也有分布。
    槐叶萍Salvinia  natans(L.)All.  浮水小型草本。茎细长，褐色，有毛。
叶3片轮生，漂浮水面的叶片如槐叶；沉水叶细裂成须根状，悬垂水中。孢子果4个～
8个， 簇生于沉水叶的基部。生于水田、池塘和静水溪河中。山东各地有分布。全草
供药用，煎服治虚劳发热、湿疹，捣敷治丹毒、疔疮和烫伤；亦可作绿肥及猪鸭饲料。
