　　1980年，山东省的环境保护外事工作开始起步。至1995年底，山东省同日本、
韩国、新加坡、芬兰、瑞典、挪威、丹麦、英国、荷兰、德国、奥地利、澳大利亚、
新西兰、美国、加拿大等国，开展了环境保护的国际交流与合作。到1995年底，山
东省共接待环境保护来访团组21个，派出团组38个。全省利用外资建设污水处理厂
12座，煤气工程3个，发电厂改造项目2个，开展合作研究课题3个。
