　　1968年，为满足铁路运输的急需，四方厂在制造内燃机车的同时，承担了修理
内燃机车的任务。主要修理本厂制造的“红星”型、“东方红”1型(后转沈
阳机车车辆厂修理)和“东方红”3型。由于四方厂处于制造和修理同步进行
状态，没有固定的修车台位，始终没能形成批量生产能力。1968年修5台；1969年
修4台；1970年修2台；1971年修1台；1972年修1台；1973年修2台；1976～1981年
修36台。1981年后修车量增加，单独成立解体车间，当年修37台；1984年修36台；
1985年修27台。到1985年底，累计修车151台。
