　　民国时期，青岛盐业即有自备船舶，从各盐场向青岛港运盐。新中国成立后，
青岛和烟台两地沿海厂矿、企业等单位自备船舶从事生产运输，均有固定航线。
1985年，全省有企业船户10家，船舶119艘，42957载重吨位。
