    山东省的山地丘陵面积共约58870平方公里，占全省面积的37.45％。其中，山地
面积约17370平方公里，占全省的11.05％。山地与丘陵是中生代燕山运动以来，在断
块构造差异隆起以及岩浆岩侵入活动的基础上，历经长期侵蚀-剥蚀过程而形成。山
地的海拔高度绝大部分小于1000米，即以低山为主。仅有少数山地主峰海拔在千米以
上，属中山类型。
