　　临沂矿区的开发范围包括临沂、沂源、莒县、歧山等煤田，是沂沭深断裂带附
近一些破碎的存煤块段，多地方小煤矿，广布于沂蒙山区数千个山头之间和丘陵地
带，其西部开发边界与陶枣、新汶、莱芜和兖州等煤田相接。主要建设单位，有
1948年成立的临沂煤矿(中华人民共和国建立初期临沂煤矿先后由贾汪、枣庄矿务
局管辖)，1960年3月成立的临沂矿务局。
