　　化肥和农药是农业的重要生产资料。建国前，山东省没有化肥工业，农药工业
仅在胶东解放区萌芽。建国后，在中国共产党和人民政府领导下，逐步建立起大中
小企业相结合、技术装备较为先进、品种比较齐全的化肥和农药工业体系。1988年，
全省化肥产量（除个别注明“实物”者外，均按含有效成分100％计：氮肥指纯氮，
磷肥指五氧化二磷）达到137．39万吨；农药产量（除个别注明“实物”者外，均
按含有效成分100％计）达到1．1万吨，分别居全国第2位和第6位。
