　　山东省制作和应用染料历史悠久。古代，人们即采用植物或矿物中的天然着色
物质做染料。如用槐米染黄色，用茜素染红色，用蓝草获得蓝靛染蓝色，用石榴皮
与铁锈配合染黑色等。1974年在临沂银雀山出土的西汉帛画就是使用多种天然染料
绘制而成的。19世纪后期，随着帝国主义的入侵，合成染料开始流入省内市场。第
一次世界大战后，输入的染料减少，民族染料工业逐步在青岛、济南、潍县（现潍
坊市）等城市兴起。从此，天然染料逐渐被合成染料所取代。
