　　山东炼铁生产历史悠久，春秋时期就已出现土法生产。抗日战争时期侵华日军
为了掠夺方便，曾在山东进行炼铁生产，但炼铁炉投产后很短时间即全部关停。
1949年新中国成立后，山东炼铁工业得到较快发展。到1987年，全省已有16家炼铁
分厂和专业炼铁厂，生产能力达年产生铁224万吨。1987年实际生产生铁215.72万
吨。
