    莱芜市辖区。位于莱芜市东南部。东邻沂源县，南与新泰市毗连，西北与莱城区
接壤。面积329平方公里。人口23万，辖城子坡街道办事处，颜庄、黄庄、里辛3个镇。
    1990年8月始设莱芜市钢城办事处(副县级)，以莱芜钢铁厂周围的5个乡镇，即莱
芜市的颜庄镇、城子坡镇、里辛乡，原新泰市的寨子乡和原沂源县的黄庄镇为其行政
区域。1992年11月莱芜市升为地级市，原钢城办事处升为钢城区。
