　　1955年以前，全省一直实行化蛹后采茧。1955年，烟台桑蚕原种场学习镇江早
采茧的方法，实行分段上簇，蚕儿吐丝将尽之时采茧。此法很快在全省普及，提高
了种茧和制种质量。同年，全省普遍实行蛹体雌雄鉴别，改变了过去蚕儿五龄期鉴
别雌雄的方法。
