　　单织业是指单纯从事织制棉布的企业，其产品有白织(坯布)和色织(棉纱染色
之后织布)之分。山东棉单织的起源可以追溯到19世纪70年代，随着土纱(手工纱)
商品化程度的提高，产生了以单织为业的织布作坊(工场)，而洋纱(进口机制纱)对
山东的倾销，则刺激了单织业的兴旺。原来以土纱为原料的织布工场，逐步转变为
织制洋经土纬、洋经洋纬布。
