　　山东的棉纺(兼织)业，指棉纺企业和既纺且织的企业，它们是山东纺织工业的
主干行业，在全国占有重要地位。1988年末，棉纺织业有职工21.91万人，占山东
纺织系统企业职工总数55.29万人的40％，工业总产值33.40亿元，利税积累5.54亿
元，分别占山东纺织系统的34.73％与40.62％。拥有棉纺锭386.25万枚，布机
86465台，居全国第二位；年产棉纱50.58万吨，棉布187.86亿米，也都居全国第二
位。
