　　建国后，于1958-1960年建盖家沟引黄闸，引黄灌溉，并济小清河航运。1970
年和1981年，又建北店子引黄闸，兼有引黄济小清河任务。
　　1979年以后，天津市、青岛市水源紧缺。1981-1982年，山东省完成了两次引
黄济津工程，共向天津市输水8.4亿立方米。1982-1985年，山东省水利厅等有关
部门进行了引黄济青工程的查勘、可行性研究和规划设计工作，1985年完成引黄济
青工程初步设计(工程于1986年4月动工，1986年12月建成通水)。
