　　选种是农林生产的传统方法，在古代多是在树种间选择优良种栽培。以后又注
意到从种内选择优良品种。果品和花卉栽培历史较长，人工选择培育了许多好品种。
北魏贾思勰在《齐民要术》中记载枣和桑种内选种说，种枣“常选好味者留栽之”；
种桑“桑椹熟时，收黑鲁椹，黄鲁桑不耐久”。许多地方果品、花卉良种都是人们
长期选择培育出来的。山东科学的人工选种，是在建国后兴起的。
