    1937年7月7日，日本帝国主义发动“芦沟桥事变”，抗日战争全面爆发。日军
沿平绥、平汉、津浦三线发动进攻。由津浦线南下之日军矶谷廉介第十师团，于10
月初攻占德州。国民党第三集团军总司令兼山东省主席韩复榘，在黄河以北组织抵
抗后，率军南逃。之后，中国军队在鲁南等地进行了英勇抵抗。徐州会战后，山东
正面战场战事基本结束。
